Our Center

The mind itself is pure like the sky, but the so-called spontanous obscurations are like clouds and if we are not able the clarify these thoughts – that are like clouds – then we never can perceive the inseperable wisdom – that is the mind itself  – as we cannot see the moon, sun and stars through a cloudy sky.” Kyobpa Jigten Sumgön The meditation centre Drikung Samten Chö Gar offers the opportunity to develop the authentic methods of Buddha-.Dharma as personal experience in the central area of Upper Austria in a familiar atmosphere. We practice in weekly evening sessions and regularly invite realised meditation masters for teachings. To develop view, meditation and action it needs both theoretical and practical experience. Our practice is connected to the oral transmission of the Drikung Kagyü Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. The centre has been set up on Sagadawa 2009 by the 8th Tsa Ugh Dorje Lhokar and stands under the protection of H.H. the 37th Drikung Kyabgön Chetsang. Director of the centre is Harald Kutzenberger. We keep close cooperations with other centres, teachers and practioners, especially Drubpon Konchog Khandro (Drikung Sweden), Khenpo Konchok Choskyab (Drikung Kagyü College, Dhera Dun, India), Khenpo Konchok Thampel (Songtsen Library, Dhera Dun, India), Lama Samten and Ani Konchok Tsechö (Drikung Centre Dharmakirti, Heuchelheim, Germany). For our events we welcome beginners without experience as well as advanced practicioners of all traditions. If you are interested, please get in contact with us
